More seating, better snowmaking, less waiting, and more terrain?? Yup!

Somehow, it’s October already and before you know it, we’ll be firing up the guns and opening our doors for our 60th season! It’s been a busy offseason for us and I’m very excited to show you some of the projects we’ve been working on!

Our cookout is currently getting a little facelift. This includes a 1,000 square foot deck with heaters, allowing for additional outdoor seating. Along with the cabin that we added last year, our outdoor seating has more than doubled since the 2019/2020 season.

We’re beefing up our snowmaking fleet once again with 10 new Super Polecat snow guns and about 1,000 feet of new snowmaking pipe. This is going to help us continue to deliver the highest quality of snow and get more terrain open as quickly as possible.

Last season taught us a lot about the benefits of limiting the number of skiers, boarders, and tubers on hill at a given time. It made for a better riding experience for you and a better operational experience for us. This is why we’ve decided to continue limiting the number of ticket sales per day. Speaking of tickets, remember those ticket pick-up boxes? Well, we got more of those too, twice as many to be exact! This is going to cut down on ticket line wait times and help us get you on the snow quicker.

Last but definitely not least, we’re adding a new run! Our newest run, “Emerglades”, is a wooded glade run located between B-Dub and Rocky Road. This is going to be a natural terrain run, making it prime real estate for those elusive Midwest powder days and giving a more challenging route over to B-Dub. It doesn't look like it on paper, but there's actually around 5 acres of skiable terrain in those woods, making it about as big as Manitou!

That’s all I’ve got for you now, but we’ve still got some more exciting news to share with you in the coming weeks. In the meantime, enjoy some fall weather, watch some football, get your skis waxed and tuned, and start thinking snow!
