February sessions of Learn a Lifetime Sport start next week! If you’re not familiar, this is a 4 week lift ticket, rental, and lesson program designed to help beginner skiers and snowboarders go from first timers to lifelong participants of the sport!

If you or someone you know has ever wanted to give skiing or snowboarding a try but didn’t know where to start, this is the program for you! More information and registration is available on our website.
Finishing touches are just about wrapped up on JL2 and we are almost ready to give you your first ride! We’ve still got some deck work to take care of at the unload tomorrow, but if we’re able to wrap that up in a timely manner, there is a chance for a soft open tomorrow night.
Regardless of any soft open, the grand opening of JL2 will be this Saturday, January 21st! A short ribbon cutting ceremony will be taking place at 8:45am at the load of the lift with first chair being loaded at 9am. Again, thank you for your patience throughout the installation process. We hope you're as excited as we are to get your first ride!
Picked up about 2.5 inches of natural snow over night and it looks like some light flurries may continue throughout the morning ❄️
Snowmaking opportunities haven’t been a regular occurrence to start the new year, but the snowmaking crew has been taking advantage of every opportunity they get. With yesterday’s additions of JJ & Narrow Margin and today’s additions of Boarderland & Bridge Ridge, we officially have all 48 of our runs open for skiing and riding!

Temperatures look like they’re going down toward the end of the week which will give us plenty of opportunities to freshen things up and improve our current base ❄️
A lifelong skier in the making ⛷️
We are excited to bring back Learn a Lifetime Sport, a lesson program designed to give you all the necessary tools to take you from a “never ever” to a lifelong participant of the sport! This 4 session program is available for 4 different schedule options and includes 1 lift ticket per week for 4 weeks, rentals for all 4 visits, and a group lesson for your first 3 visits.

Thanks to everyone who came out to welcome in the new year with us! Looks like we’ve got a couple more warmer days ahead of us to start the year. Temps look like they’re going down toward the end of the week which will allow us to continue our snowmaking efforts on runs like Narrow Margin, Bridge Ridge, and the other few remaining unopen runs.

Reminder, we’re going to be jumping back into regular hours this week. We’re open from 9am-8pm today and tomorrow, then regular weekday hours of 10am-8pm will resume Tuesday.
Merry (chilly) Christmas Eve from all of us here at cascade!

We’re open from 9am-4:30pm today if you’re looking to bundle up and get some holiday laps in. Bonus days are in effect for our pass holders today, meaning that all season passes are valid.
Mother Nature sure is throwing the kitchen sink at us to start the season. While we’ve been loving these cold snowmaking temps, this upcoming cold front has us concerned for the safety of our guests and employees. Due to the frigid cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills, we will be closed this Friday, December 23rd. We will be reaching out to those who pre-purchased tickets to issue refunds. We plan to re-open on December 24th with our regularly scheduled Christmas Eve hours of 9am-4:30pm.
Through the days that we are open during this cold snap, and throughout the entire season, remember the importance of planning for the forecasted weather, dressing in layers, and taking your warm up breaks. Being prepared can help to ensure that you have a longer and more enjoyable day of skiing, riding, or tubing.
Guess what’s opening tomorrow 👀

We’ll be adding a few runs to the list of open terrain, including Far Out and Cindy Pop. Thank you to our lift maintenance team for your hard work in getting Cindy Pop Express ready to go! Snowmakers, keep crushing it. The difference a few good days of snowmaking can make is night and day.

Check back in the morning for a full update of open terrain.
Sure was nice of Mother Nature to turn some of that precipitation into snow. Wasn’t very nice of her to cut our power for the day.

Like much of our area, we’re dealing with outages today so if you’ve given us a call, you’ve probably been met with silence. We hope to have these issues resolved soon and will update this post when they are.

*Update* And it’s back! Office staff will not be back in tonight to answer phones, but if you leave us a message, we’ll get back to you tomorrow.
Due to the poor weather forecast and in an effort to preserve snow conditions, we will be closed Tuesday December 13th-Thursday December 15th. After that, we’ll re-open on Friday December 16th with regular hours for the remainder of the season (for real this time!). Keeping customer traffic and grooming equipment off the snow while warm and rainy will help us maintain our snow base and conditions. We will be reaching out to those who pre-purchased tickets to issue refunds.
The good news is that we had an awesome surprise delivery yesterday which included the equipment needed to pull the haul rope on the JL2 lift. This step of the project would’ve required run access closure from the bottom to top terminals of JL2, which would’ve cut off access to North Wall from the Mountain Top Express. The combination of inclement weather and the surprise delivery gives us a great opportunity to get this taken care of while the weather is not favorable for skiers and riders. We’ll be taking full advantage of this midweek closure to get this huge project milestone completed.
Another step closer on JL2
