I wouldn’t consider it peak colors yet, but the leaves were definitely changing over the weekend 🍁
October is flying by and we’ll be skiing before you know it ⛷️🏂
Important upcoming dates 👇
10/31: Last chance to get your season pass at a discounted rate
10/31-11/1: Ski Swap
11/7-11/9: @snowvana
11/29: Tentative opening date
Earlier today felt like the first real brisk morning of the month, 37 degrees to be exact. Not too far off from snowmaking temps! We’re still likely a month out from that, but in the meantime, we’ve got a couple of events in the near future to get you ready for the start of the season!
We’ll be hosting our ski swap Friday October 31 and Saturday November 1 from 10am-4pm. Whether you’ve outgrown it or upgraded, this is the perfect opportunity to sell or buy some used equipment! Drop off your lightly used equipment (skis, snowboards, boots, and bindings only) and we’ll sell it on consignment. A portion of all ski swap sales will be donated to our Cascade Mountain Ski Patrol.
Check out the ski swap for a chance to win 1 of 3 FINISHED chair benches from the Mogul Monster Lift! Here’s how:
❄️ Every $100 spent at the ski swap = 1 entry
❄️ Purchase a season pass by the end of the ski swap (11/1/25 @ 4pm)* = 1 entry
❄️ Pick up your season pass during the ski swap (10am-4pm 10/31-11/1) = 1 entry
*This includes passes purchased prior to the swap! If you’ve already purchased yours, you’ve automatically been entered into the raffle!
We’ll also be attending Snowvana Wisconsin November 7-9 at the MOSH Performance Facility in Franklin. Shop some equipment deals, check out the film festival, and talk to local resorts like us to take advantage of some exclusive ticket deals 👀
More details for both events at the link in our bio.
Join the team for the winter season! We’re looking to fill both full and part time positions with starting wages as high as $19/hour, no experience needed! Enjoy benefits like a free season pass, free use of rental equipment, plus food and retail discounts!
Apply now at the link in our bio.
The Cookout has been getting a welcomed facelift this off-season, including some easily accessible entrances and more notably, a grill patio! This patio will allow the grill to make its return to the Cookout, bringing that irresistible scent of brats, burgers, and dogs back to the base area 🌭🍔🌭
🚨 Reminder 🚨 Only one more month to snag a season pass at a discounted rate! Season passes jump to full price at the end of October!
Last season marked season number 3 of the Cascade Employee Scholar Fund. This program was designed to award high school aged employees with additional funds on top of their regular wages to assist with the costs of postsecondary education. Students who complete their senior year of employment with Cascade are eligible for a $1 donation for every hour worked through consecutive seasons during their high school career. That means if you start working here as a freshman and continue working here until your senior year, you would be eligible for a $1 donation for every hour worked for the last 4 years.
Last season, 2 employees who participated in the program completed their commitments to both Cascade and their education and will be receiving their funds shortly! Congrats and thank you to Cooper and Samuel! Your checks were mailed out yesterday so you’ll be seeing them soon!
In its first 3 seasons, the Cascade Employee Scholar Fund has awarded a total of just shy of $6,000 to 17 participants! As always, we would love to see this number grow! Hiring season is right around the corner. If you or someone you know is interested, keep an eye on our website and social pages for employment information. Employment applications for the 25/26 season will be available on our website by early October.
Annual favorite delivery of the year post... snow guns are here 🥳🎉
These guns will be placed on JL2 and Far Out, replacing some older guns, improving our firepower, and ultimately helping us to get these areas opened earlier in the season. In addition to the added firepower, our crew took on a large drainage and grading project on Far Out this summer. By re-routing the drainage that used to funnel into Far Out and its connected runs downhill, we will not see the typical melt out due to warming temps towards the end of the season. This will help us to keep the terrain serviced by the Cindy Pop Express lift in much better condition in those last few weeks of the season. This project and many more have really been taking shape recently and we’re excited to share them with you in the coming weeks! As hard as it is to believe with today’s high temp reaching the low 80s, we are likely only 2 months away from the start of snowmaking season ❄️
Lift Tickets for December 19 - March 8 are available for purchase on our website! Tickets before and after those dates will become available for purchase as we’re able to determine our early and late season hours. Tubing tickets will become available for purchase shortly ⛷️🏂
Only ~230ish days until we’re back on snow, but I’ve been missing it lately. Here are some images of one of my favorite days of the season.
All photos from our Cascade Luau rail jam are available at the link in our bio 🤙
The 24/25 season is officially in the books ⛷️🏂
Thank you to our guests, staff, patrollers, and everyone else who helped make this season another great one! Stayed tuned over the next few months to see what we’ll be working on this offseason as we head into the 25/26 season.
Don’t forget, today is your last day to get your 25/26 season pass at the best price of the year! Pass prices move up to the next pricing tier tomorrow.
🚨OPS UPDATE🚨
*Update as of 4pm on 3/14 - The forecast is now showing the storm rolling in a touch sooner, bringing high winds, thunder, and lightning. Because of this, we will be closing at 8pm today (Friday 3/14).*
We’ve been keeping an eye on the storm that’s rolling in this weekend and it’s becoming pretty clear that it’s best to keep our groomers off hill Friday night into Saturday morning. The storm will primarily be hitting us during that grooming shift which would not allow our groomers to have the hill in suitable riding shape. Because of this, we will be closed Saturday.
Luckily, temps will be dropping Saturday night into Sunday morning which should allow groomers to have the hill in good shape for our final day of the season on Sunday!
Plenty of snow out there today with some awesome spring conditions. Come have some fun ⛷️🏂
A look at our upcoming hours as we begin our final week of the season. Come get your spring laps in while you still can ☀️
Bonus days are in effect for the remainder of the season, meaning all 24/25 Cascade season passes are valid from open to close every day ⛷️🏂
Don’t forget, Sunday is also the last day to get your 25/26 season pass at the best price. Take advantage of the savings before passes jump up to the next pricing tier at the link in our bio.
This weekend’s forecast is looking like we’ve got some excellent spring skiing ahead of us. Learn all about what’s in store for tomorrow’s Cascade Luau at the link in our bio 🌴🥥🌺
Bonus days for season pass holders begin tomorrow and run through the end of the season, meaning all 24/25 Cascade season passes will be valid from open to close every day ⛷️🏂
3” of natural plus some manmade has got this place looking great ❄️
Back open today with some excellent conditions ⛷️🏂
What a great weekend its been! Temperatures dropped significantly Friday night and have stayed down, allowing groomers to work their magic and make for some great conditions for racing. Thank you to all of the WIJARA racers who have been spending the weekend with us!
Looking ahead at this week, we’ve got some rain rolling in Tuesday and Wednesday. In an effort to preserve conditions, we’ll be closed Tuesday 3/4 & Wednesday 3/5. We’ve got plenty of base, but keeping groomers off hill during the rainy nights will help us maintain the best conditions possible. The good news is Wednesday’s rain looks like it’ll be turning to snow, meaning conditions should be great when we re-open on Thursday.
Bonus days for season pass holders will be beginning on Saturday 3/8 and running through the end of the season, meaning all Cascade season passes will be valid from open to close every day ⛷️🏂
