Portal legs and long beams ✅
A solid start last night from our snowmaking crew ❄️

Plenty more snowmaking opportunities in the forecast so stay tuned for more!
We at Cascade are fortunate to have a great seasonal staff year after year, a large portion of which is made up of high school students. These students juggle a lot throughout our season between work, school, and extracurricular activities. On top of that, many of them deal with the additional stress of planning for life after graduation. “What am I going to do? Am I going to go to college? Can I afford it?” While we can’t make those decisions for you, we can help you plan and save for it.
Starting this season, all Cascade employees, grades 9-12, who are planning to attend any form of postsecondary education are eligible to participate in the Cascade Employee Scholar Fund. This program will award employees with additional funds on top of their regular wages to assist with the costs of postsecondary education.
Here’s how it works:
Students who complete their senior year of employment with Cascade will be eligible for a $1 donation for every hour worked through consecutive seasons during their high school career. That means if you start working here as a freshman and continue working here until your senior year, you would be eligible for a $1 donation for every hour worked for the last 4 years. More details will be given to eligible employees upon the start of the season.
Over the last few seasons, improving the guest experience and adding value to the time you spend at Cascade have been a few of our main goals. Limited ticket sales give you more time on the slopes and less time in the lift line and ticket pick up boxes make picking up your ticket a breeze, but what can we do to improve efficiency in places like the snack bar and other retail locations? After a lot of careful consideration, we think we have a solution. Starting this season, Cascade Mountain will be a completely cashless business.
So what exactly does that mean?
We will only be accepting credit, debit, and Cascade physical or electronic gift cards as forms of payment. Not having to handle cash or give change will help our cashiers keep lines moving quickly.
What if I only brought cash? Or, what if I usually send the kids with cash?
No worries, we’ll have Cash-2-Card self-service kiosks located in the Peak Lodge, Sports Shop, Tube Town, and Daisy. These kiosks act as reverse ATMs, meaning you put cash in, and receive a prepaid card that can be used anywhere that cards are accepted, not just at Cascade! There are no activation fees, meaning that the amount you put in is the amount that you get back.
Removing cash transactions and the processes that come with cash handling will allows us to dedicate even more of our time to what’s important, making your day great.
Today I tried to beat the heat by looking at our new snow guns and thinking cold.

It didn’t work but the guns were cool 🤷‍♂️
And that’s all for the 2021/2022 season. A huge thank you is in order to all of our guests, pass holders, and outstanding staff. Whether you stopped by once or were out here every day, you helped make our 60th anniversary season awesome!
Stay tuned this offseason for updates on all of our summer projects, including plenty of looks at the installation of our newest lift!
A beautiful, sunny day to close out the season ☀️
Waking up an hour early has its perks 🌅

A small overnight dusting of snow helped improve yesterday’s already awesome conditions 🤘
Today’s forecast: blue skies and corduroy ☀️

Please understand that this decision was made out of concern for the safety of our guests.
