Last season was the inaugural season of the Cascade Employee Scholar Fund. For those who aren’t familiar, this program was designed to award high school aged employees with additional funds on top of their regular wages to assist with the costs of postsecondary education. Students who complete their senior year of employment with Cascade are eligible for a $1 donation for every hour worked through consecutive seasons during their high school career. That means if you start working here as a freshman and continue working here until your senior year, you would be eligible for a $1 donation for every hour worked for the last 4 years.

Last season, 7 employees who participated in the program completed their commitments to both Cascade and their education and will be receiving their funds in the coming days! We’d like to thank and congratulate Andrew, Aydan, Caleb, Charlene, Olivia, Riley, and Sam for their hard work both at Cascade and in the classroom! Checks were mailed out today, so you’ll be seeing them shortly!

We’d love to see the number of participants grow this season! If you or someone you know is interested, we’ll be looking to hire on some more exceptional employee scholars in just a few short weeks. More info regarding this program is available on the Employment page of our website.
Imagine what we could do with these things if it was… about 70 degrees cooler 🥵

Even the hottest day of the year is a great day for a delivery of brand new snow guns from @smisnowmakers 🤘
That’s all she wrote for the 2022/2023 season. Thank you to all of our guests, pass holders, and outstanding employees! You all played a huge role in making this season another great one!

Our year-round staff is going to be getting some much deserved time off and will be back to work in a few weeks to get started on our off-season projects. Stay tuned to find out what we’ll be working on for next season!

We got another inch or two of some really nice, light snow last night, making for some excellent conditions to start our final week of the season ❄️

Bonus days are in effect all week (today-Sunday), meaning all of our season passes are valid all day, every day until our closing date of March 19th.

While all the snow we’ve gotten this last week has made for great conditions that would likely allow us to get past our scheduled closing date, staying open later is not in the cards for us. Between staffing, planning, and how quickly the weather can take a turn this time of year, we always believe it’s best for us to stick to the schedule and finish the season on the highest note possible.
9” and it’s still coming down ❄️

Some of the best conditions of the season entering our second to last weekend ⛷️🏂
As luck would have it, Monday rain is unfortunately turning into a trend so we're running back last week's schedule. We'll be closed tomorrow, March 6th and re-opening Tuesday, March 7th with regular hours.

In reality the forecast is looking like most of the rain, sleet, and snow mix is going to be hitting us overnight, but keeping groomers off hill tonight and skier traffic off hill tomorrow will help us to keep conditions in the best shape possible for the remainder of the season. We've still got more than enough coverage to get us to our March 19th closing date, plus the forecast looks like it's going to take a turn in our favor over the next few days with some snowmaking temps and possible natural snow Friday!

Despite the unfavorable weather rolling in later tonight, we’ve got sunshine and great conditions to start the day. Come take advantage of our third to last Sunday of the season ⛷️🏂
Here’s the demo lineup for our Cascade Luau! Come test out some skis and boards from Rossignol, Head, BMP, YES., and Jones on Saturday March 11th from 9am-4pm. Our Tech Shop will also be demoing and selling a limited number of our Sport Skis from Rossignol, Head, Armada, and Volkl.

We’ve got a beautiful sunny Saturday ahead of us. Snow guns were fired up last night and will continue to be every night we have the temps ❄️

We’ll be starting the morning off with 9 lifts servicing all 48 runs ⛷️🏂
February sessions of Learn a Lifetime Sport start next week! If you’re not familiar, this is a 4 week lift ticket, rental, and lesson program designed to help beginner skiers and snowboarders go from first timers to lifelong participants of the sport!

If you or someone you know has ever wanted to give skiing or snowboarding a try but didn’t know where to start, this is the program for you! More information and registration is available on our website.
Finishing touches are just about wrapped up on JL2 and we are almost ready to give you your first ride! We’ve still got some deck work to take care of at the unload tomorrow, but if we’re able to wrap that up in a timely manner, there is a chance for a soft open tomorrow night.

Regardless of any soft open, the grand opening of JL2 will be this Saturday, January 21st! A short ribbon cutting ceremony will be taking place at 8:45am at the load of the lift with first chair being loaded at 9am. Again, thank you for your patience throughout the installation process. We hope you're as excited as we are to get your first ride!
Picked up about 2.5 inches of natural snow over night and it looks like some light flurries may continue throughout the morning ❄️
