A little top layer of fresh thanks to this morning’s snowfall ❄️
Some more seasonable weather is returning over the next few days after a brief springlike period. Upcoming conditions 📈
🚨‼️Operations Update‼️🚨
We’ve been keeping a close eye on radar to see if a stroke of luck changes things for the better today, however that’s not been the case from what we’re seeing. Due to rain that’s rolling in tonight, we’ll be closing at 4:30pm. Those of you currently out there on open-close tickets, stop by the office when you’re done for the day and you’ll be issued a return voucher valid for any night session for the remainder of the season. We are reaching out to those that purchased night tickets and tubing tickets to issue refunds.
We will be back open tomorrow with regular hours ⛷️🏂
Conditions remain outstanding today. Nightly snowmaking recently and last week’s routine light snow have all 48 runs riding great ⛷️🏂
Reminder, we’re back into regular hours, meaning tomorrow will be our first 10am opening time in a couple weeks 🕙
Food Tour Stop 2: Lunch 🌭🌭
📍Cookout: located next to the Mountain Top Express load
Notes: I refer to this as the brat dog combo (1 of each because I can’t decide). Also been known for the double dog on occasion.
I’m finally all out of holiday leftovers so I’m taking a food tour around Cascade today!
Stop 1: Breakfast 🍗🧇☕️
📍Waffle Window: located near the Cindy Pop Express load
📍Coffee Shop: located upstairs in the Snowstar Chalet
Notes: Eating more waffles is a New Year’s resolution of mine. So far I’m at 2 but have arrangements to pump those numbers drastically. The hot honey is highly recommended 🍯
These daily doses of light natural snowfall have given Emerglades enough coverage for the green light 🚦
Emerglades is now open ⛷️🏂
Thanks to everyone who welcomed in the new year with us 🎆
We once again enjoyed some light snow throughout most of the day yesterday! We’ll be starting 2026 with some excellent conditions across ALL 48 runs⛷️🏂

Happy New Year! 🎆
Another great day ahead of us today. We once again received light snow throughout most of the day yesterday. Coupled with even more overnight snowmaking, conditions are going to be outstanding today⛷️🏂
Fireworks at 8pm tonight and plus skiing, snowboarding, and tubing until midnight. Come close out 2025 with us 🎊
Great conditions inbound today ⛷️🏂
Light snow throughout the day yesterday plus snowmaking overnight has this place looking great ❄️
Sure is nice of Mother Nature to work so hard to right yesterday’s wrong ❄️
Flurries have continued all day and now the sun is starting to make an appearance ☀️
Strange weather yesterday, but the end result is about an inch of some real nice dry snow ❄️
Additional to the light natural refresh, snowmaking weather has returned, meaning our snowmaking crew will be back at it tonight giving all runs a man made refresh ⛷️🏂
🚨‼️Operations Update‼️🚨
We’ve been closely monitoring tomorrow’s weather throughout the day today. While precipitation seems like it’ll be relatively light (until it turns to snow in the evening), high winds with very strong gusts will be blowing in around 5pm and really picking up throughout the rest of the evening. These gusts pose a serious threat to chairlift safety. Out of concern for the safety of our guests and staff, we will be closing at 5pm tomorrow 12/28.
We will be reaching out to everyone who purchased night lift tickets and tubing tickets for the 4:45pm & 7pm sessions to issue refunds. If you purchased an open-close lift ticket and would like your order refunded, please contact us. We will be fielding an influx of calls and emails for the remainder of the night, but we will get to all inquiries that we aren’t able to address immediately as soon as possible.
After the early closure tomorrow, we will be back open with regular hours AND a few inches of fresh snow on Monday 12/29 ❄️
*Update* Our site is back up and running!
We’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties with our website and are actively working to resolve the issue. This post will be updated when all issues are resolved.
In the meantime, if you’re looking to purchase tickets or view ticket availability, you can do so at the link in our bio.
It’s only one day of no skiing 🎄
See you tomorrow ⛷️🏂
Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄
An early Christmas gift...Boarderland, JJ, Bridge Ridge, and Narrow Margin are all open today 🎁
All runs excluding Emerglades (which is in need of a nice natural top layer ❄️) are now open!

Our remaining few unopened trails are in the midst of being pushed out and will be ready for first tracks very soon ⛷️🏂

We’re quickly approaching the holiday week (you’re welcome for the reminder if you still need to Christmas shop - we’ve got plenty of nice Cascade merch in our Sports Shop), meaning we’ve got some special hours to keep in mind. A few dates and hours to note include a 4:30pm closure on Christmas Eve, closed all day on Christmas, and open until midnight on New Year’s Eve. Fireworks show at 8pm on New Year’s Eve 🎆
Despite this morning’s weather, we’ve got additional terrain on the near horizon. On top of that, temperatures will be drastically changing by end of day today, meaning our snowmaking crew will be back at it in just a few short hours ❄️
Grab some extra layers 🥶
Brisk day ahead of us with lots of terrain to explore. Cottontail and Ptarmigan are back open plus Racers’ Edge, Anniversary, and East Road are joining the open list today! Tube Town also gets it’s start for the season from 10am-10pm. Park Crew added 2 more jumps to Mountain Top Park, which is now sitting with 9 rail features and a 3 jump line 👏

JL2 lift and run both open today ⛷️🏂
Screamin’ Steven and PW got some first tracks of the season yesterday while Ptarmigan and Cottontail closed for a couple of days of beefing up snow base. Cottontail, Ptarmigan, and more will be back open for the weekend. Park Crew swapped out the Coro-Spine to Triple Barrel for the Pipe Dream. Park preview of Mountain Top Park on our story.
