Cascade enters our 50th season
The first Cascade Mountain skiers hopped on a double chairlift on January 13th, 1962. They had just paid $5.75 for their lift ticket plus $4.00 to rent wooden skis and leather boots. Those with a few extra bucks in their pockets were able to rent the new metal skis with release bindings for another dollar. And the hard-cores bought a season pass for $60.
